Built on What Is Genuine

For CAAPPA, luxury begins with something simple: knowing exactly what you are buying.

Built on What Is Genuine

Honest luxury from the beginning.

For CAAPPA, luxury begins with something simple: knowing exactly what you are buying. It is the quality of the fiber, the care behind the finished piece, and the honesty with which it is presented.

Since 2013, CAAPPA has built its identity around genuine high-end cashmere and pashmina, fair pricing, craftsmanship, and long-term customer trust.

The goal was never simply to sell something expensive. It was to offer products that feel exceptional while being truthful about what they are made from and where they come from.

That belief still guides the company today.

A Personal Beginning, A Wider Purpose

A business that began inside a family.

Behind the business was also a personal reason.

CAAPPA became a way to support the founder’s wife as she developed her skills and grew as a woman entrepreneur. What began within one family gradually became connected to a larger purpose: strengthening Nepal’s handicraft industry and creating opportunities connected to women, artisans, Himalayan communities, and lower-income families.

The company’s story has therefore always been about more than a product. It is about building something through craft, opportunity, and the people behind it.

Built Through Difficult Years

Resilience became part of the story.

That journey was not easy.

CAAPPA was growing when the 2015 earthquake struck Nepal. As the business slowly recovered, COVID disrupted it again. At the same time, the local market became increasingly difficult to navigate as inexpensive and imitation products were sold under the name of cashmere or pashmina.

For customers unfamiliar with the material, the difference between genuine cashmere and lower-quality substitutes is not always obvious.

Instead of competing by lowering standards, CAAPPA chose to make authenticity part of its identity: explain the composition honestly, offer genuine products, and allow customers to experience the difference themselves.

Authentic fiber. Nepali craftsmanship. Honest luxury.

Crafted in Nepal

The fiber travels. The transformation happens here.

The fiber used by CAAPPA comes mainly from the Tibetan Plateau, including regions on both the Chinese and Nepali sides, with some also sourced from Inner Mongolia and Mongolia.

But the transformation of that fiber happens in Nepal.

Designing, weaving, knitting, dyeing, and fabric-making are completed in Nepal. Depending on the customer and product, production may use traditional handlooms or power looms for a finer, more uniform finish.

This is where CAAPPA’s connection to Nepal becomes more than a label.

Nepal’s Himalayan landscape and long tradition of textile craftsmanship form an important part of how CAAPPA understands its products and its place in the wider cashmere tradition.

The Difference Is in the Fiber

Measured in microns. Judged by experience.

One of CAAPPA’s most important quality points can be measured.

Its cashmere fiber is approximately 12–15 microns in diameter. The team’s quality discussions use 16 microns as a Grade A reference, making CAAPPA’s stated range exceptionally fine. Lower micron fibers contribute to the softness, warmth, and delicate premium feel associated with high-quality cashmere.

But quality is not judged by numbers alone.

Years of experience also guide how products are selected and evaluated through softness, feel, and the natural character of the fabric. For bulk and wholesale customers who require technical verification, laboratory results for the fiber may also be provided when available for the relevant material or order.

It is a balance between what can be measured and what can only be felt.

Designed for More Than One Customer

Retail, wholesale, and custom work.

CAAPPA’s collection includes shawls, scarves, stoles, blankets, sweaters, gift pieces, and custom designs.

The company also works beyond retail, providing OEM and ODM manufacturing for wholesale customers, international and local brands, sourcing agents, and customers seeking exclusive one-piece designs.

Across those different relationships, the principle remains the same: the customer should know what they are receiving and feel confident in its quality.

That approach has created lasting relationships with repeat customers from Nepal and around the world.

Looking Forward Without Losing the Beginning

From Kathmandu to a wider future.

CAAPPA is now preparing for a wider future—reaching customers internationally through its digital presence, expanding relationships with wholesalers and retailers, and eventually exploring retail outlets outside Nepal.

But growth does not mean leaving the original values behind.

The aim remains the same as it has been from the beginning:

To offer genuine cashmere, crafted with care, presented with honesty, and connected to the people and craftsmanship that give it meaning.
